Storms and Convective discussion- 7th August onwards

Recommended Posts

Don’t be fooled by lightning detectors. Currently sat watching the cells to the east of here and lightning is at least every two seconds.

I can see lightning here in Silverdale looking out towards Isle of Man direction, got some deep rumbles here and lightning heading your way

Had a cool breeze now it feels a lot warmer again, now debating if I should take a little walk to the end of the field to see if there's any action hmmmmm

Bet the Fedex pilots are getting a great view flying directly over it 😛 Wonder if they'll see any sprites.

Plenty of shaking going on I bet!

Just been updating my storm log, noticed that i went from September 13th 2016 all the way to July 11th 2019 without a thunderstorm in my location.

Now that is a dry streak, 1031 days!!

Have faith people of the South 😉

This is shaping up to be a good decent storm, nothing compared to monday but a fair bit of lightning

Heres the storm that passed through just north of Swansea at about 9pm

Isle of Man looks like it's about to get a battering. Also the MCS definitely has some rotation to it. Got that 'galaxy' arm swirl thing going on, like water down a drain. 😛  And with that I'm off, to go lie on top of my bed and stare at the ceiling wishing the heat would go away 😛 Night folks o/
