That channel storm looks like its going N/NE! It was looking like it would head for me in Somerset!! Oh well! Good luck to the rest of you, stay safe

Yep, I saw some amazing cloud formations here but nothing is going to come near me unfortunately.

It’s absolutely terrible out there atm, very heavy rain, strong wind and loads of thunder and lightning, preferred last night as there was little rain so could stay out there to enjoy it, there was an almighty dash to the house this time lol

Looking darker to the south of here now. Now to wait and see what, if anything, makes it across.

View to the south.

Western side of the MCS heading for Dorset decaying rapidly, eastern side maintaining strength a little longer as usual. Also the outflow boundary in the eastern side may spark a few isolated storms towards Kent and Sussex. Sat on Bournemouth pier feeling very deflated despite having a bottle of wine and two pornstar martinis in front of me....

We are South of Coventry. Had plenty of thunder and lightning around 6pm and radar showed us under torrential rain.  Actually did not have enough to wet the ground. 10 mins drive away there are flash floods.

Some grumbles and a moderate downpour from the Whitchurch storm as it passes to the east of Andover. The petrichor smell is wonderful!

All eyes on tomorrow then, the METO update was ok if not spectacularly

Got my hatrick of overhead storms (for the week). Couple of cells went close to town before the main mega bulk arrives. Drove up to top of  Bayston Hill and had flash and instant booming thunder! This next on the way

Try turning the camera horizontal, you'll fit more of the shelf in

Have you got a panorama function on your phone camera?
