This day has been very disappointing, and not just storm-wise. Been under cloudy skies ever since that band of rain this morning, and the temperature has been a measly 19C all day! That is way off the forecasted 27C, in fact it’s probably one of the least accurate temperature forecasts I have ever seen.

There’s some kind of ground hugging rotation on its southern leading edge. Looks amazing but camera won’t quite do it distance from this far out.

It's coming to get us!!!

It was a bit flimsy wasn't it? I am still holding on to the hope of sone evening activity and may even do a little chase if need be.

Just back in from work. Had continuous thunder from a storm that skimmed us to the south. Some decent rainfall out of it and a couple of visible flashes of lightning. Still rumbling as it moves away to the west.

Cold enough here for a hoodie outside. Been stuck under low cloud and a nasty N'ly all day. Might as well be February.

Right under the storm now. I was lucky I saw it form over Basingstoke and headed west just in front of it. Close lightning but mostly elevated atm. Have my ear defenders on lol

This perhaps one of the best Cbs I’ve seen in a long time - looks like it’s taking on a mothership formation!

Friends in Medway reporting booming thunder

It took me by surprise by how quickly it formed. We had a small thunderstorm pass by around 2pm, then around 3.30pm heard what I thought was wagons being unloaded at the unit next door to where I worked. Popped out for a look and saw a lovely black wall of cloud to the east and south east booming away. Still going now, hoping for a more direct hit later on.
