We had moderate snow earlier  here at 5.30 for around 20 mins that left a slushy covering. That soon melted and now we have just heavy rain.Been a very poor week for snow here just north of Derby.

I think the radar may be slightly broken, Snows beginning to pick up here into larger visible flakes, but it's just showing a big empty area of nothing over us and that's with the 10 min lag taken into account. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  Closest visible thing on the radar that's heading our way is about 30/40 mins away.

EDIT: And as I typed this it's gone back to dust again

Hoping that area over Lincoln will hit me but I suspect it may just miss to the south east of me. Leicester possibly catch that?

hoping on and off until Wed am, Wash flow going until then, still expect daytime partial thaws, but looking good folks

Excellent news, so as long as the wind stays same direction they’ll keep piling into the area?

Welcome to the forum!

Whereabouts in Shrewsbury is this? I'm in Bomere Heath and it settled for a while about 5pm but mostly gone now despite more bits of snow falling and cold enough temps. Very strange weather round here last few days even by Shrewsbury standards!

Small world , I'm also in bomere . Always look on here but rarely post.

Hopefully these band of showers should build a good covering by the morning. Got a small amount now it is good conditions for settling.
