White over with snow now. About 1.5cm lying judging by a look from the window.

Moderate snow here now, starting to stick to the pavements too. My weather apps don't have a clue whats happening, they keep flicking between showing snow and rain every 5 minutes!

That northwesterly airflow seems to be tearing the system apart somewhat - although this was modelled I suppose.

Yep. Rapidly weakening on approach to Stoke. What little chance I had of seeing snow has gone.

Looking at the radar I am right on the edge of this pivot and have been for a good hour or two, so close to the white stuff but not too hopeful, just drizzle here.

May take back what said earlier, nothing much happening here, it's starting to weaken & thin out now, so it may just be the old cold light rain, temp at 3.2C so would need to be reasonably heavy for any sleet to fall even.

Yep  you can see the warmer air mixing into the front.  Mainly Rain for here i would have thought    if you look towards leciester  on the radar  you can see how it never really turns to sleet or snow.

Feels like one of those situations if only everything was a little further South. Well done to those of you who have seen some white stuff so far. Not much happening in Solihull. Almost considered taking a train trip to Matlock (but don’t think would have been allowed being in Tier 3)

Yes, been frustratingly on the edge of this all morning. Just very cold light rain here, can't see much more than that occurring.

Feeling the same. Going to keep my expectations for this afternoon low. Anything more than rain happening will be a nice surprise.

Big mild sector slap bang in the mids scuppered any chance we had. Rain continues here i have given up on this one.

Just waiting for some cold wet rain really, like many have said anything else would be a huge surprise. Temp also creeping up - at 3.6C now.

2-4 inches depending on where it started laying... just back in from walk into Glossop coming down thickly... slushfest in glossop...  no weather warning I see

surpassed anything we had last winter...

I wouldn't bother. I'll be taking a drive up to Buxton tomorrow morning though.
