Another great sunset this evening

It definitely feels like the first day of meteorological Winter outside this morning with a deep-frost covering the outside surfaces and I had to remind myself that it's just evaporative cooling that'

Lovely sunset

Very unusual to have a Yellow Thunderstorm Warning for four days on the trot!

Just seen the forecast for tomorrow on the BBC seems west will be best Thunder storms seem to be more concentrated towards North Wales and Merseyside moving northwards around the Flyde coastline the updated Man Airport Taf seems to back this up with no mention of Thunder storms Heavey rain showers are mentioned though for tomorrow evening.I think the more widespread Thundery activity will be Tuesday as the LP pushes up from the south.

I'm not yet sure about our chances tomorrow. I feel like this will be a more south/midland event with the instability not yet migrated over our region until tomorrow afternoon. I think some hit and miss thunderstorms as you might expect in these setups with some localised clustering. They may have lost their intensity as they move northwards, I'm not sure currently . I'm sure a few in our region will see something of interest, I'm just not sure where or how intense

Looks like the region is right in the sweet spot again for storms today. Bullish forecast from the met office for thunderstorms to develop this afternoon. Manchester Airport TAF has possibility of thunderstorms and heavy hail between 12 and midnight. Liverpool Airport has possibility of storms and heavy hail between 12 and 8pm.

Estofex has a level 1 slap bang over our region as well.

Looking like West will be best for higher chance of thunderstorms later today and into the evening...nagging easterly breeze still in situ here, although a blessing with keeping the heat at bay over the weekend.  Promising that some homegrown showers have popped up through Bradford/Leeds, so maybe more instability through the week will pop up a few surprises.

Elevated shower over the pennines.

A few more of those around the Leicester area moving nirthwestwards but the real activity with thunder is in Wales and the southwest.

Fingers crossed but looking at the map on his tweet, he seems to expect the storms from Wales and the west Mids to move north/northeastwards while the models seem to indicate more of a north/northwestward move.

I think areas close to the coast will do best. Wales is getting it hard as we speak.

Both Meto and Netweather showing  nothing for us here this week in the way of  storms. Just the usual cloud and murk, also keeping a lid on the temps. Dull as dishwater today

I'm noticing a more NW flow to the storms. Seems S Ireland is more in line at the moment.  Keep hearing the occasional rumble but most stuff is out at sea or 100 miles South.

It is creeping NE wards but very slowly. Could be some really bad flooding if under the train of storms.

This is a good direction for the Llyn peninsula. You will get it good today.

Just had a brief torrential shower here. Felt just like it does when on holiday on the continent - really warm and tropical feeling outside despite the heavy rain. Hopefully we can get a good clearing now to allow some decent heating.

Lovely afternoon here in S Cheshire making the most of what will probably be the best day of the week - hazy sunshine☀️ and a humid 26c 😎
