Recently started to stick properly now, Still coming down. I heard heavy snow in Crosby also and heard on FB hazardous roads in Huyton.

Snowing here in Maghull and we have a covering now. Gritter just past ours.

Yep it seems to be the case.

It melts faster than it accumulates even when less marginal

It’s very strange - I’ve had not as much as others are getting but even here in Sandbach we’ve got about 2-3cm and still coming down. Here’s hoping you see something at least.

About the same here but seems to be getting heavier again.

Crazy, snow settling in Urmston but it's barely sleet here and I'm just down the road

With charts like this to look forward to I'm not too downbeat as didn't expect much in snow desert Urmston here tonight

At least it looks wintry outside with white shed roofs and cars and grass, just not sticking other surfaces.

Jeez everything looks soaking - friend in Haslington has a dusting so might be your town location. It’s crazy but seems to make all the difference in these scenarios.

Got a bit light now and turned  sleety again. Have a very slight dusting but still not really sticking except for a few minutes before.

It’s so bizarre - Crewe’s mini urban heat island effect maybe who knows lol - don’t think this will be our last chance for snow this winter though fingers crossed! ❄️

It's bizarre. Even in the 09 and 10 winters we didn't manage more than 5cm

Sounds like a mini UHI effect for sure - Manchester City centre is similar although Jan 5th 2010 was an exception.

My camera is rubbish but it's still going. I didn't use a flash because we've got that weird sort of muffle light and sound you get when everything is covered.

I've not been out, but I'd estimate we have around 2cm of snow on the ground here. Pretty decent for these parts.

Interesting to see the variations around the region. It's not intensity of precipitation that seems key as it has eased off here and still snowing lightly. Altitude could be playing a part. Just a few metres or so can make massive differences in falling and/or settling snow.

A light spot of drizzle lol. Can’t even see anything falling by the lamppost, think I will need the yellows in the radar to reach here (Denton/Dane Bank)
