I woke up a few times pre dawn, l now find myself automatically checking the skies out through my bedroom window, clear sky but not a hint of NLCs.  Had to break two cats up scrapping in the back garden at some point after sunrise, Venus had taken centre stage in the east, so bright, golden and stunning.

twas cold up that hill... stopped out until 3 ... NLCs failed to produce anything decent, im still fiddling around with my new galaxy s20 and broken tripod, lol..

Happy enough with my sightings though, although light pollution from Derby was a nuisance.

Caught this in the early hours of Saturday morning looking northeast from Clacton. My first ever sighting and photo of NLCs. The trees got in the way of my attempt to capture NEOWISE but I'm planning on a little early venture to the sea front in the next few days.

Highly frustrating...and may have to wait until the start of next week for a break in the cloud cover

one bright thing is there`s still a solid bulk of NLC clouds around the pole....and the Sun is still behaving it`s self regarding Sun Spots

Cheers Rob...i was a bit busy yesterday....It seems that space weather. com has stopped it`s deal/ subscription? with nasa which allowed an earlier release to the public....ie at 2 days old, as opposed to when nasa officially release the data, at 3 days old.

this now seems the new norm

We`ll have to start brushing up on our 3 day out forcast

I think the new norm is "guess when we release the latest" ... theyve come out before 9pm, or after 11pm ... if they are that late, they arent much use.

But we should be clear tonight and tomorrow, Tuesdays looking uncertain but Friday is a possible..

Yep...with all of the uncertainness happening in America atm....i imagine that the 'uploading' is least of their priorities
