A chance of one or two rogue cells developing today but I want to focus on tomorrow. Now we are very early in the storm season but from looking at the charts I am seeing the possibility for supercell potential.

as some of you know the main model I use is the wrf nmm the majority of the time it performs really well of course no model is ever 100% perfect but it has better detail than some of the other short range models especially the 2km so now some details for tomorrow which I will monitor over the rest of today’s runs for any changes.

There will be more than enough CAPE 62F14E85-7790-4225-B692-BC423B209113.thumb.gif.e2401a6c3d1528f5320bd4e0e0b39e8d.gif68DF6C0C-90C6-4C57-8602-E50A74E51076.thumb.gif.99f0b9f6a5c5ac209b31cf91bd02417c.gif

the winds higher up in the atmosphere and potential vorticity associated with those cells is also evident 2FB862EF-AE15-4EE3-B1B6-F4DBF3B40512.thumb.gif.3fadf22bedcff64453755c3d252eda2a.gif27D701F0-F534-4DBE-AC0C-1BCB795415F1.thumb.gif.6a4080e7b4c5df11d4970dbeada5e9e4.gif

all this ties in with the front covering the same area C63173BC-8626-4EB8-A98B-288B4FBE9EFF.thumb.png.bebd0e20c30cc3250187e70f9bd1b30f.pngCC8E999D-7B04-4433-81F0-CCAC3A730C9D.thumb.png.5acc393f6f7e08784e09250ed39e661f.png

So certainly looks like a very interesting day and I wouldn’t be surprised to see hail and possible funnel / tornadic reports along that line of cells.

I was wondering if some of those models looked suspicious. I was also wondering if the front could enhance the shear and helicity near the front?

Hi everyone, long time no speak. Has felt like a long and drawn out stormless season - gorgeous to be getting some heat and signs of convection again.

This is looking west right now - lovely signs of instability developing.

Just gone outside - very bubbly cumulus to my south. They were not there 5 minutes ago.

Seeing some bubbling cumulus now... hopefully I get to see something interesting!

Said that at the same time once again!

Got some decent cumulus here at the moment. I'm not expecting anything but can see a wind shift right overhead with clouds coming in from the different direction just a few hundred meters away which is helping a little line of cumulus to form.

As I said, don't think it will lead to anything here, but I will wait and see.

any pics of that slow moving cell in the southwest or is it cloud covered? Just for us southeasters who don't have a cloud in the sky

I’ve highlighted areas that could fire up soon, as per XCweather wind map.

Cotswolds, Home Counties and Devon currently seeing evident convergence zones. Any storms getting steered Eastwards, albeit at a very slow pace. Converging winds could occur elsewhere over the next few hours also. Keep a look out!

Some Acca's earlier and now in the last few minutes some decent cumulus popped up to the East.  Fingers crossed...

Good afternoonies all

Well after yesterday’s evenings little storm, the aftermath crud soon cleared this morning leaving my area with an almost perfect carbon copy of yesterday afternoon!
Could I be lucky and get another small storm today? ... I don’t know. Time will tell on that one. ?️:search:

But whatever happens today... Good luck to everyone who’s hoping for a storm, or like me, another storm. :oldgood:?️

More showers have popped up near Lincoln and SW London.

Edit: And off the coast of Whitby and Scarborough!
