Finally managed to catch up (took an hour and a half!!! >.< ) So now I'm going to post my 'I had to subject myself to public transport (aka busses) today' report so here we go!

On the bus to my exam there were 4 people coughing, one of which was sneezing into his hand and then wiping it on his trousers >< there was also a baby (somewhere between a 'baby' baby and a 'toddler' baby) that was red, sweaty and crying it's lungs out with the mother talking to the woman next to her about how she was taking her to the doctors to see if she could get in as an emergency to see the triage nurse because "she has ever such a fever" and she didn't bother to phone up first because they always make her wait for a return call.....................

.............

................ *facepalms*

Then on the way back there was a guy sitting right at the front of the bus, in the seat directly behind the driver coughing so much it was a wonder he didn't start heaving his insides out, and didn't even bother to cover his mouth........

/sigh.....

How many tests are France doing per day?

I think France only announces a minimum 1000 tests per day. Not all countries are releasing testing data so it's v. hard to compare numbers.

Exactly. Whether the UK is testing less than some other countries is hard to say, but to just assume the government are falsifying the figures, without anything to back that up, gets on my wick.

Clearly? How so, have you got the figures?

If France was only testing a small number then the infection rate would look awful given the steep increase . Okay fair enough I accept your criticisms . I’m going to muzzle it on that front !

Hmmm London and SE starting to get more concentrated amount of cases compared to the rest of the country. Needs close watching the next few days given what has just happened with Madrid.

I see London have much more cases  but considering the population i guess that expected   but what it does show is all regions of England are affected    certainly at the moment different to Italy.  but of course early days

London and the SE/East taking the brunt then.

The SW (my locale) seeing a small reduction.  That'll please Points West.

That was doing the rounds earlier in the week. Looks fairly inevitable now given how many leagues are suspended. I can see domestic leagues finishing into June assuming things begin to improve in a month or so with fewer cases etc

It could be that the football leagues still want to finish their seasons and so Euro 2020 wouldn’t leave enough time to do that .

The virus really should be diminishing in June if it follows the normal seasonal type patterns .

London and SE is far more highly populated than elsewhere so numbers will be greater.

Indeed  it would be great if i had the brain power  to see what percentages thay are depending on population in a certain area

I’ll be gutted if things like the French Open tennis , Wimbledon and the Olympics get effected .

I tend to watch wall to wall coverage and tell people thinking of visiting me in France to work around those !

And if people do have the cheek to interfere with my sports viewing they can’t take over the whole two weeks .

Given its all spread out across Europe, there is literally no chance the situation will change fast enough for them to take a chance on being able to host it.

The football leagues will have a better chance of finishing their seasons with that taken out of the calendar, however still going to be a struggle for Italy for example. All those lucrative pre season friendlies are going to have to disappear.
