Showers overnight falling as rain at first and then of sleet and snow pellets after midnight. Sunny intervals and brief showers of snow pellets so far this morning.

Windy overnight, squally showers. Further squally showers of moderate rain and sleet this morning, turning brighter towards observation, less windy.

Yesterday.

 

Turning very windy overnight. Some light to moderate rain towards dawn. Further intermittent light to moderate rain this morning. Wind gusting to gale force. Very windy with rain at times. The early afternoon saw a severe squall sweep through the area, producing gale to storm force winds and driving rain and hail. By mid afternoon a brief clearance arrived and the wind moderated a little.

Currently dry and partly cloudy. Had a spell of rain this afternoon starting at 1.45pm which turned to snow between 2.30pm - 3pm, leaving just a slight covering on the grass before melting.
