This is great and it shows young people engaging and sending a really constructive message:

There’s an excellent article in the Guardian .

Coronavirus : A disease that thrives on human error .

Agreed and mistakes are still being made even now.

No shortage of Loo roll or Bleach this morning. In a fit of panic I missed the two for the price of one offer so got myself two bottles after being notified by the sales assistant. These should last long enough. You watch my IBS will probably now go nuts and I'll have to stock up on Loo rolls.

The 80 year old man who died in Milton Keynes was left for hours in a normal ward coughing persistently, amongst other patients, according to his family. Grim.

Yup posted this yesterday. BBC news failed to report this blunder earlier on. So now they got to trace all the people who have been in contact.

Well that's that hospital becoming a ground zero in a few days. Shocking incompetence.

Well normally I go out for the weekend since I've got a cold which is now getting better I've decided to stay in tonight and not go to the pub just in case it's not a cold.

Was in a local supermarket tis morning, and panic buying has taken hold..Now I am pe*d off.

Not because they bought every hand sanitiser in the place

OR the fact every household cleaner has gone.

BUT...the baked beans supply has been impacted....now I am pe*d off....:aggressive:

One of the shop staff told me one woman was in the store this week and bought 97 of one specific item, Don't known what it was but if it was my baked beans I'm gonna find her, and go round her place to eat for the next month...

Sadly another death has been confirmed here taking the total to 10.

Before the next update the figures are 613 confirmed cases, of which 39 people are in a critical condition .

I think they should ration or if people do this they have to pay double or donate have to donate a matching amount to the NHS at check out.

It may help if the media also while reporting new infections deaths etc also reported the number of people who have recovered.

Agreed, looking at the BIG DATA website, it shows about 50% recovery so far..

"Toilet paper wipe-out fears escalate

It's inspired such hashtags as #ToiletPaperEmergency and #ToiletPaperApocalypse - and the surge in demand for loo roll does not appear to be slowing down.

One Australian newspaper even printed a jovial eight-page "toilet paper" pullout section this week, for those who may have run out.

And the frenzy appears to have spread, with barren shelves - where the sought-after paper once sat - appearing around the world including the US and the UK.

For some, though, the situation has escalated.

One man was reportedly tasered by police in the country this week, after getting into an argument with staff over the product.

And a video widely shared online appears to show three women pulling each other's hair in a struggle over a particularly large pack in Sydney.

But things have worked out well for one couple.

Chris Janetzki, 35, and Haidee Janetzki, 33, say they accidentally spent A$3,260 (£1,600) on 2,306 rolls last month. And Mrs Janetzki does not look [photo not included] too upset by the error...

"Psychologists and consumer experts have linked the surge in demand on herd mentality, FOMO syndrome - or Fear Of Missing Out - and the convenience of modern lifestyles." (Source: BBC live)

Lots of loo roll in the supermarket this morning...very few women's sanitary towels!!! Madness! No disposable gloves or hand sanitizer  and no full fat Red Bull.

A dopey old guy coughed in the queue without putting his hand to his mouth and was lambasted by the cashier, felt for the shop staff who seemed on edge today.

Looks like the previous tour of the Grand Princess which is now off the California coast  is being implicated in a crop of new cases in the USA .

This means that a whole load of people who should have self isolated didn’t.

What will they do when they have stocked up? Buy more probably. I expect some are stockpiling lettuces.

Stockpiling is a lot to do with wanting a level of control over a situation . It’s controlling one aspect of life which really is in the complete control of the individual .

Its really in effect what psychologists would call a self- soothing mechanism .

Whereas the virus spread might be perceived as not something people have a great deal of control over .

The problem of course for those who weren’t going to stockpile is they then feel like they need to but for different initial reasons . Not because they feel a lack of control but more realistically think that if they don’t stock up the stockpilers will clear the shelves .
