Depressingly low daytime light levels for the 6th consecutive day here in the Hastings area. Indoor lights on all day and a good many street lights came on around 3pm.

Add in some torrential downpours this afternoon and evening and frankly I'm sick and tired of this thoroughly dismal autumn.

What a few days it’s been, I was driving home from work and the drains just couldn’t cope which made a very wet road a lot worse. I also noted how high the river was, I have lived in the same part of the country for most of my life and that was the highest I have ever seen that river. I think like everyone now I’ve had enough of getting wet all the time. It would be nice to see the sun even for a few minutes

An iffy commute for some this morning.
I have however enjoyed listening to the rain over the past few hours... when everything is so quiet.
The rainfall radar has been stuck for a while.

Where has the sun gone this November? I don't think the weather could get more miserable if it tried. Roll on summer and those long evenings. However..........if it actually snowed regularly, then I might not mind winter so much, but we keep getting served drivel, or should that be drizzle.

Blimey, has it rained in Bexhill, or what?! Since around 23:50 last night, the rain has been so persistent, only stopping every hour or so. It’s been fluctuating between >Moderate-Torrential, and it was mainly stratiform for a good portion of the night.

Once the rain band cleared, however, we have been stuck under heavy-very heavy showers for a good few hours.

In fact, as I’m writing this, it’s raining outside! Falling under >moderate on my scale.

I think the last couple of days has epitomised our changing climate...for a majority of this month we have experienced suppressed temperatures largely by day but nothing untoward but as soon as any atlantic air mass or air originating from further south shows up the temperatures eclipse what we have been experiencing on the flip side, night time temperatures the last couple of nights haven't even got into single figures here, 10.5c and 10.2c respectively.

Unbelievably the sun has just come out...

Almost guaranteed for temps to be somewhere between 6c - 13c by day and without a doubt green, whether it's raining or partly sunny is another thing. Small chance of a frost hanging around in the morning making it a paler shade of green.

That's what my crystal balls says

Drains and rivers round here are so full.

Country roads are like ponds as no where for the insane amount of water to go.
The HP this weekend into next, is going to be a welcome relief to say the least.

I saw a strange and unusual bright light coming from the sky, it is the rare sight of the sun. In the previous post, the below photo is my rain gauge.
