You wait a lifetime for a funnel cloud and then two come at once!

A few from last night, just South of Salisbury. Mostly intracloud stuff, but an impressive light show none the less.

Well that was a pretty awesome night. Although I cant help but feel slightly disappointed for not getting any SLR shots. And now I'm left wanting more and more ?. Anyway a very impressive light show w

what a light show in stoke on trent! just awsome its like being abroad lol

Incredible light show. Just a shame the early views of the fork lightning disappeared. That cell seemed to roll in very quickly almost like it formed over us.

This is amazing! Not seen and heard anything like this for well over a decade!

Not seen this since I moved here ten years ago. Last time would be when I was a child in Birmingham during the 90s.

Yes I’m watching flashes light up the southern horizon. Breezier here as I’m high up.

It’ll  look even better when it closes in ?

I have lightning approaching from 3 directions and it's still dead still

This is rather surreal

Just spent a good hour standing outside. I was actually shirtless, in the middle of a field at one point (deathwish). I've been absolutely blessed here in Surrey. Frequent lightning (every few seconds), heavy downpours and gusty winds.

When one cell hit us I first felt the cool, downdrafts that brought some heavy rain. Then complete stillness. Then a warmish rushing feeling around my legs (updraft?).

It's died down a bit now, however there's still some rumbles of thunder in the distance.

Great night.

Lovely light show to my north, distant, elevated, with nice cloud crawlers.

Edit: Someone is getting a beauty! It’s either getting bigger, or nearer!

Ahhh that was nice, just raining now and I'm thoroughly enjoying the Petrichor scent from the open window.  Ended up going downstairs and ogling at it out the living room window. Just before it started there was an amazing cloud, looked like a cross between an arcus and a roll cloud stretching across the entire sky from SE to ENE.  Looked absolutely fantastic when it was being lit from behind by the lightning. ?

Been outside for 45 minutes. Can see fantastic lightning tonthe W of me (over the sea), to the  East (Ormskirk and Manchester way), south and  north too! Some lovely rolling thunder. No strobe show like some of you, but lovely all the same.

Gusty wind getting up now.

I just woke up to the most intense lightning storm I've ever seen in Nottingham. A flash at least every second.

I can see it in the distance from my house near Lincoln. Looks incredible if it keeps coming this way

The second band heading this way seems to be going a lot slower than the leading one. It's not as active, though still looks interesting.

Aye, I cant remember the exact year, but I was definitely lot younger, where I still lived here but I remember seeing multiple storms going off in different directions, one strike resembling the filament of an incandescent bulb across the sky very vividly. Must have been early noughties or late nineties, just cant recall!
