The top official temperature yesterday was - drumroll..... 34c. Recorded in Northholt (London). That makes our winner @shuggee?  Thanks to all who took part, temperatures never made it to the hei

I'll go with the BBC.-8 and Snow..

Good grief, with a change of wind direction from onshore to off, Lossiemouth has apparently seen a rise of 10 degrees in an hour to 27°C, with 7 degree increase in 20 minutes.

30c was the top official temperature yesterday, recorded in Achnagart. That keeps @clark3r in the lead for a while longer, but today looks to be the day the run ends!

A bit like 21st June 2017. Nothing spectacular in the morning but shot up in the afternoon.

We will retain the hot uppers until evening, therefore expect a late maximum, say 5pm.

The temp will max out at around 36c. I called it last week, and I'm calling it now. If SW London is at 30c already, 6c is easy to achieve in 4 hours.

This also won't be like July 1st 2015 that was sitting at 32c at 10am but got shut off by cloud. There is no cloud at all in London etc so no reason for the temps not to keep climbing.

You can keep the hot weather,  its a lovely 20c here with a light easterly sea breeze, so happy the easterly kept going for us, it was meant to be westerly today.

Actually we could be hotter here tomorrow then today.

Given background conditions aloft, no reason why temps won't keep going up, it's been Abit of an unusual setup over the past 24hrs so the usual timings of when the temps platuea may be shifted 1-2hrs later.

Anyway plenty of realistic 30-32c on the pws throughout the SE now

34.4 Northolt on Saturday

Have a feeling I’m still in with an outside chance of this , it looks like surging past these values though currently , still for once I’ve predicted the temperature in Northolt one week out being closer than the GFS could at the same time last week  ??.
