Scorchio here !

I tolerate the heat for the chance of a good storm but little chance of that this far east.

Is Rennes still as dingy as it was when I went there on holiday in 1997, I wonder?

I went in March....thought it was OK! Had a few new bits, been to worse places.

Just ventured inside and have the fan on in the lounge which is making the warm evening totally ok. Job done.

My grandparents are over from Spain and think that this evening’s weather is comfortable. 😂

A couple of strikes off the coast of Brighton... might be false readings as not much weather about there

Do not want any storms here tonight if we want to challenge the record on Thursday. I personally think there’s a 5% chance at most in the SE, and then in the west of the region. Kent / Essex pretty much zero chance.

5% chance of storms or breaking the record?

Really don't care about the extra heat. I'll have a storm instead. A small chance, agreed but looking better than earlier this evening

It was pretty filthy back then.  My father refused to use the gents in the town centre as it was so filthy, and he's far from being the sort of person that usually does that sort of thing!  There was rubbish everywhere in the streets as well.  Mind you, it didn't help that one of the few catering establishments that I could access in my wheelchair was run by a woman who stared at us throughout our lunch (I think she thought that the British were criminals or something)😂

Meteo France have removed their original warning for thunderstorms from parts of northern France . They expect a few but nothing to warrant the original warning . So any French imports look less likely .

Certainly if you’re looking for that record breaking heat for Thursday you’d want to avoid them .

Storms. If we get a soaking then there’s no chance of breaking the record!

True but it’d probably feel hotter ironically  as the added moisture would make it feel more humid too - unless I got that completely wrong lol

The activity seems to be increasing on the east side.  I wish I lived a little bit closer to surrey

These storms seem to be travelling NNE
