Potential extreme rain event - Monday to Thursday

Thought I would open a separate thread on this weeks potential for some perhaps record breaking totals of rain locally for The Midlands and the East of England. 

Some models touting in excess of 200mm! Which would inevitably cause some major flooding problems to areas that rarely see such warnings in force, and is usually a much drier part of the country. 

Lets see what happens. 

As I’m speaking, there is some pretty torrential persistent rain happening, and it’s been pretty unbroken since 7AM this morning.

Reading the other thread it seems it could get tasty after around 3pm for the southern eastern contingent as instability pushes across our region out of the near continent .... we shall see at least it’s interesting...
