Cool, overcast and another rotten day in prospect. The western edge of the decaying convective mess in the channel just about to start Dumoping several hours rain here

Not sure if this is some part of the storm passing through.
Just had a very dark spell and heavy shower pass through, 1.2mm over the last hour or so.
It has now brightened up a little, with light rain.

21C here. 70% humidity, but feeling far more oppressive. Radar puts us under light rain, but it's clearly evaporating before it gets here. Not sure if tonight's action will reach here, but am in an elevated spot so may be able to see any elevated storms from a distance.

Currently am right under that red and orange radar blob over the Solent area, rainfall rate is 8 to 14 mm/hour but seems likely to ease off a bit within the hour. Might reach 10mm this afternoon I suppose. Lots of drenched schoolkids walking home shortly.

Maximum temperature wa16.9 at 2pm but it's holding up well in the rain and is still at 16.7 - currently with a light northerly airflow.

It’s been wet here for a bit an hour now with mostly moderate rain. Usually for here it’s completely still with no wind at all. 15.3°C

Heaviest shower of the day is just passing over and moving off to the north now, maximum rainfall rate was 13.2mm/hr at one point. Total today around 7mm so far.

Temperature has been steady at 17.2°C, dew point is at 15.6°C. Starting to feel very close now.

Looking very good for developments this evening,, watching Northern France at the moment, but the channel may get exciting later this evening!

Overcast with drizzle here, however it’s feeling humid. Got up to 16.4°C earlier, currently 15.8°C RH 89%

On the flip side it’s starting to brighten up to the southwest

Grey and overcast for much of the day, rained since lunchtime, still spotting now. Not thinking we will get any storms this eve but you never know!

All eyes to Northern France, high temperatures and dew points have been achieved in the last few hours, now we wait for the trigger.

I hope some of use get some good light shows this evening!

Moderate rain for 3 hours this afternoon after a dull sometimes light rain morning. Feels very humid at 7pm, and I guess because of that much warmer than it was at midday.

I have to say I think anything west of the IOW is now pretty unlikely, the cell firing near is the first to pop, expect more in this area in the first hour or so, northwest extent likely to be Cherbourg then developments moving NNE clipping IOW into Sussex eastwards.

im calling a Chinese, not interesting in long drives late in the evening.

The rain has been so light here today that it didn't even register a rain rate.
