Yes, from Nutley head towards Wych Cross/East Grinstead, there is a big lay by area at the top of the hill about 3/4 mile outside Nutley; alternaively head towards Tunbridge Wells from the Nutley area and you will come across high ground

Heading back West again slightly or just expanding?

No just the rain in front expanding to the west, the movement is north north east.

The storm seems to be weakening, to me this is because of the large amount of rain in front of it.

Wow loads of options 😃

May try this one in a bit. Need somewhere with good SW and NW views ideally - might be a good one thanks! 👍

Hmmm looking at the French webcams, there's little 'intensity' to these storms. 30 seconds between any flashes, let alone close ones. Hardly a 50,000 and up strike-fest.

Interestingly, the lightning has packed up leaving the north coast of France.

Anyone know what would block the Bognor Regis webcam from showing up on my PC, please? I use Win10 home, Chrome, have cookies enabled, have Flash and Java, etc....

I get a black box instead of any picture. Rest of the page is OK.

Thanks!

Have you tried another browser such as Firefox?

Get a red banner and no video box on Firefox, another black box on Edge. I wonder if my antivirus is blocking it....

Wind has picked up here on the coast at Eastbourne - very breezy. Must be heralding the arrival of the rain soon? Electrical activity atm just can't make it into the Channel.

Yes that maybe why, try disabling your antivirus and see if the page loads.

Created an anti-virus exception. No luck. It's like I'm missing a player but the damn web site does not tell me what I'm missing!!

No lightning seen yet looking across the channel toward the mass leaving the French coast from Brighton.

My only hope is that mass of rain heading up the western side of the Cherbourg peninsula, but it's only a small hope 😐

But good luck to everyone else! Somewhere always gets a surprise storm
