Now that the (I can promise you) very warm and humid air has arrived, the grey skies have broken into swathes of what appear to me (in the dusky light) Ac with some hints of AcCas. As this trundles north perhaps we’ll see something a bit more electric sparking off...visually its going in the right direction for you further north. Let’s see!

edit - so I see it’s started for some. Good luck and enjoy (and stay safe!)

Caught some lovely structure last night. Just South of Hailsham, E Sussex, looking toward the coast.

This courtesy of one of my closest friend’s Dad in Eastbourne...crank the sound right up!! Amazing! 3EC4CEA2-31E0-4E40-B801-02CA5200BA65.MP4

My guess tonight, East Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and moving north, after about midnight. Also some storm activity in the NW of England potentially pushing into West Yorkshire

Hopefully York catches one. Been ages since we’ve had a good one!

You can’t beat the old radio though for instant notification of sferics.

     There’s another one

No lightning at all in the UK, and it isn't going tonight I'm afraid. We in Cheshire, started the day with 60% chance of severe storms, this went down to 30% and now has been cancelled.

First three strikes (per Lightning Maps), just West of Snowdonia, appeared, then disappeared. Followed by two more showing then going, then another two about a minute ago - wonder how long they stay. ?

    [EDIT] They've stayed on screen.

    [EDIT 2] They've gone. ?

Something to keep an eye on, wonder if this will trigger something and become more organised so long as we don't miss out lol
