Well today was a great day really after the snow disappointment. It's been very cold, only maxed out at -1.7 on my station so a good ice day. The trees looked brilliant with thick frost on them.

Take a look at the radar and play the animation from around 3am. The rain literally doesn't move! We're on 18.6mm since midnight and it doesn't look like stopping any time soon.

Just easing off now, my gauge has a full inch in.
The village road is a little flooded, over-topping the curbs
Should fill out my potato crop!

12c in Sheffield now, not got above 14c all day, Don't get me wrong i love these temps but for July even i must say they are low

Gusting to 57mph across the Yorkshire Dales currently.

Shame my weather station at the Lion Inn on Blakey Ridge is currently getting replaced, probably gusting 60mph plus up there.

Zippo here I'm watching the showers move through just to the east of me. Nice gust front as well.

Well dead duck for today for those hoping for a storm. High level cloud hammering the nails hard into the coffin. The fat Lady would sing but she's got a mask on.

Maximum was 34.9c here today! 🔥🥵

Possibly my highest recorded temp, I'll have to check.....

Glad it's a 1 day wonder though, it's too much. Not liking the look of the end of next week, looks hotter for longer

Distant rumbles of thunder in Bempton just north of Bridlington, that cell popped up out of nowhere.

Nothing as of yet in Guiseley, the skies very dark though, looking like it’ll pass towards East Leeds
