In the rain shadow of the Welsh mountains today, therefore thankfully very little rain has fallen here today...bits and pieces intermittently whereas just a few miles west of me I’ve been informed that there has been hours of steady moderate rain.

No idea how next week is going to play out but ECM and GFS in some agreement for a cool/cold NW Flow with dare I say a possibility of some wintry stuff

I doubt you'll be doing snow Angel's.

More like slush Angel's.

Yep not holding up much hope of anything white or snowy...maybe on the tops...it’ll all be gone anyway by tomorrow... next week holding interest but not banking on it..

Must be turning to snow now on the back edge, temps dropping fast I see. Around 24 hours of non stop rainfall around Cumbia, finally easing off a bit.

No chance of any back edge snow here, as radar echoes aren't producing to ground level. However, the radar does show showers already packing in behind the front, latching on to its' energy.

Hopeful of some heavy squally hail showers later on. Next week looks like producing more of the same.

The cold front tomorrow needs watching for possible snow on the back edge. Looks like just Manchester N and E unfortunately though as the wind will be too strong for anything further west in my opinion. Best case anywhere East of M6. There will be a marked temp drop everywhere  though.

Going more or less as expected then. Temp dropped  here from 10.1°C to 5.0°C during the front.

for next week; the GFS 06Z now shows snow down to sea level for a few hours Wednesday morning going by the parameters. this is the first run that has shown it being the right side of marginal for me.

Worth noting that the dewpoints just to our west are conductive to producing snow. They're spreading this way. Interesting.
