Doesn't feel cold enough for snow yet, strong wind stopping temps from dropping too much?

Well if it keeps that intensity and falls as snow it will be more than 1-3cm. Just had a light shower of sleet. Enough to soak the ground. Hope it freezes before that batch comes in. Warning starts at 10

That’s pretty cool, hopefully merge and not break up as much

Spitting snow but petering out. Radar doesn't look great. Met office warning expires in 4 hours and that was it exiting in to the Irish sea. Looks a bust this warning tbh, was promising with radar when it was issued. Oh well

Both ECM and GFS giving us a chance of a white Christmas.

Obviously still ten days away and we've let down two or three times already,  but there remains hope.

A single flake needs to be recorded falling I think. Cold day today briefly hit 2.5c, currently 1c.

We have had our first ice day of the season here and its freezing hard now again. Would love to see a bit of snow soon. That warning last night was a bit over the top.

That batch of snow was heading NE towards us when they issued it. It stalled for hours, headed SE then fizzled out. Disappointing. Anything that did make it here was practically dead, lasted 30 seconds and had the lightest colour on the radar. Not even dandruff territory. Hopefully we get something promising soon.

Big fat, slow falling snow here at the minute. Covering the ground well.
