Best snowfall for a couple of years, minimal though it was.

Bar a few flurries today I think that's that until next Winter.

It's been a tough couple of years snow wise alright should be seeing seeing pics like this a handful of times every winter unfortunately we are living in a different era now.

If the cold air is still in place when the precipitation to the west arrives it could be fun, it is showing on Euro4 as frontal snow.

Looks to be coming quicker than maybe MetO automated showing

I think it will over 1000 feet for this frontal snow.

Met office warning for NI snow above 250m.

Met Eireann more promising for Northern areas

Status Yellow - Snow/Ice warning for Connacht, Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Dublin, Louth and Wicklow

Icy in parts tonight with wintry outbreaks. Some snow accumulations possible before morning, mainly across the north and on higher ground elsewhere.

I'm weathered out this week. Hopefully we get something even tho it won't last. I'd settle for a couple of hours of falling snow this dreadful winter

800 feet then, not far off a 1000.

Not many habitats at 800 foot and above I dont think.

Ok , there is still lying snow in my garden and I can see my breath outside and for these very scientific reasons I will be voting for frontal snow tonight

Took the kids out of school and headed up to Wicklow for my snow fix! Best idea I’ve had in ages... It was breathtaking up there. Here’s the view of Lugnaquilla from Sally’s gap. Loved it. Oh, so did the kids!

Biblical rainfall here today for a few hours, lots of localised flooding.
