a real dogs dinner of a day. persistent rain/sleet and strong winds. temps down to 2.5c now. will be surprised if we don't have a covering at least by morning.

Cloud breaking up now from the NW. Hopefully the freeze sets in quickly to allow snow to settle quickly. Heavy snow shower in Omagh from the last embers of that front. 

Hoping these two troughs moving in overnight give a good dumping. This is the fax chart for 9pm tonight.

Edit: dew points should be no problem overnight. This is for 3am.

No idea what the temperature is out there now that I've broken my thermometer. Its chilly though. No snow yet of course. Would prefer if the ground dried up and cooled down a bit before the nightly onslaught.

good luck to all tonight on the snow front....north and west should get a few cms by morning....hoping to catch a shower or two here in the southeast but won't hold my breath 

Those lucky enough to get snow please post up the photos and make the rest of us jealous

had a decent snow shower there and left the car white although melting now. need temps to drop a bit more for it to lay.

Nice one Steve. Already snowing here in Omagh town. Ground very wet at the minute. Hopefully we'll get ice forming between showers to help it lay quicker!

few showers here have left slushy deposits on cars, grass etc. clear skies at moment might help temps to fall back enough.
