Heavy settling hail, shame it happened after dark!

About 45 mins ago, had the most bizarre 'storm'. Temperature dropped from 9 to 2.5c, hail, snow, wind turned the lawn white. Now calm. Temps have dropped below freezing.  Really odd that we started the day so mild and now we're icy!

Hail, now heavy rain. Brighter returns on the radar a couple of miles to the South.

A surprise snow shower! Started off as hail then turned to snow and even started settling a little. Turned more sleet now.

Wow, we had some very tiny flakes for about 5 mins, but it's more sleety again now. That's a surprise! 1.6°C

Had a brief light shower not long ago as the main part what was approaching broke up but after it passed it's quickly dropped to 2.9°C

A bit annoying that a heavy shower passed just to the south. Caught a few sleety drops from it though not lucky this time around. Won't complain though after what we had not long ago.

Ooh! I hope that comes off. I am looking forward to some warmth after this windy weather so far in March.

Very windy here now and increasingly difficult to sleep with the sound of the wind.  I expect the recyclings probably off down the road. 💨

Interesting that the squall line is on the front edge rather than back edge this time.
