Snow here in Cardiff is completely different to last year- very crunchy when walking on it and really easy to mould, last years was like playing with dust

    Yeah it's great snowball snow

Seems to finally be moving off north and east for us and gradually fizzling out but some models show showers from the pivot through tomorrow. Gotta say anything else would be a bonus

Still snowing lightly in Bridgwater so don't give up hope

I just woken up and seen a nice surprise in the garden and 90% of what has fallen out of this has fallen in a three hour period incredible I would have loved to have seen it as must've been really heavy

     And it still snowing

Finally caved in and went for a wander. Definitely a winter wonderland out there and the snow is so crunchy! Sounds amazing under foot.

Getting close to 6 cm now. Gert lush!

Utterly relentless heavy blowing snow for a while now. Definitely hit the sweet spot here tonight and damn am I going to enjoy it!

Three Mile Cross (or should that be drifts?).

Yes, it just keeps on coming! Been incredibly lucky all night; snow has been filling all around us so every time it looks like stopping we get another burst.

I have just woken up early like a kid at Christmas. But..... I'm a little disappointed. It's fabulous seeing snow but I wish it had continued longer imby. Can't see anymore coming through on the radar.

Looks like the amber warning should’ve been moved to include areas like Reading, the ppn on radar over that location for the last few hours has been way heavier than what we got in SE Wales!

still light too moderate snow falling in cheltenham, with a nice 4-5cm covering, out earlier and it is very crunchy compact snow, unlike the wet slushy snow u get from a cold zonal setup?

I have just woken up! It is still snowing...unbelievable ?. Have just checked the MetO forecast and it is to continue until 4o'clock THIS AFTERNOON ?. That will have been 20 hours of continual snow ?! Temperature struggling up to 1 degree by about 1o'clock ?! This must be our most memorable snow for donkey's  years. ? Can't wait for first light to go out and take some pictures of this wonderfulness. ?
