Mostly sunny earlier this afternoon but clouded over later on to leave a dull end to the day. Currently 8.3°C and rising ahead of the approaching rain.

You forgot the most important thing.....sharpened elbows. Vital for crowd breaking if you want to get near the stalls.

Hi Jethro,  how on earth can people still get away with it!! I'm glad my kids didn't see the advert .

Apparently they did the same two years ago and it was just as bad. Shocking.

I should've given that advice to a friend who went to the Winchester Christmas market on Sunday, he'd have needed it just to get in let alone to the stalls. He didn't bother going in when he saw the queue trying to get in.

To be honest, going on a wet day is probably worthwhile, certainly thins the crowds out a bit. If you can manage it, the best time for Bath market is late afternoon, that's when it's quietest. Personally I quite like the buzz of lots of people, it adds to the atmosphere of the place.

Morning, horrible here, grey, dark and raining. Such a contrast to yesterday, bring back the frost asap please.

Yesterday seems like a mistake, back to rain this morning and mild at 11C after rising from 4C in the early hours.

Seems like it’s getting dark already with the approaching rain not far away from here.

Started hissing down about half an hour ago here.  Looks set in for the afternoon, but can see an obvious back edge currently over Plymouth.  Glad I chose yesterday to go to Salisbury!

Drizzle for a while but heavier rain just started and now it’s very dull out there.

i decided to read the met office 30 day forecast, especially the second part. Everything but the kitchen sink in there, to cover all options... shortened version would probably be... after a couple brandies... 'we don't know what the f, it'll be doing'

A brief heavier burst followed the main area of rain leaving a total of 9.0mm. Looks like that’s it for the day now.

Really looking forward to next week where it looks to be cooler, but more settled with sunny days and clear nights in the forecast. Better than this muck

Yes. I have some new fencing to do, so drier and chillier would be much better!  I've recorded 95mm here in the last 9 days.

I’m losing count of how many days have clearing skies at sunset after being dull all day!

Beautifully starry right now but due to be dull and drizzly and/or showery by dawn!!!

Had a similar sky to that here yesterday afternoon although it was more purple than pink. Tried to get a picture but it didn’t come out very well so didn’t bother posting it.
