I'm waiting patiently for the 18z ICON, that low must stay further north, It MUST I TELL YOU!😚😅

Note the Icon was showing it furthest south earlier so if next run it is further north similar to GFS, UKMO. Would be good.

Damaging strong winds out there currently, been going for hours with trees down on a few local roads and power outages being reported in a village nearby..  but worst of all, it's bin night and our bin has blown over 😞

There's going to be at least a foot of snow in most places in the South East on Tuesday......there's agreement between the models on that!! (Oh thats right, thats a completely false comment too lol, funny that haha)

you might just get it deleted 😁 Like most of my lighthearted ones were, after all not many posters in there are in the least bit convincing. The toy throwing was for infants or keyboard warriors. The poor old childminders (mods) had a hard job but you cant take a free internet site totally seriously.  Not many would speak to eachother face to face like that

Icon 18z a little deeper low and further North than its 12z run but not as far North as GFS and UKMO.

That’s good news Steve , hopefully the others follow and of course the system itself . What’s your hunch on things with reference to Tuesday night .

Surely "Mild" has a subjective meaning

Indeed. Minus 10 is mild in the depths of a harsh winter. Admittedly not in this country lol

Met Office site have rain now on Tuesday evening but have increased the intensity of snow, including all of the London area, from after midnight to 9am Wednesday with heavy snow symbols, thats nine hours of heavy snow. This scenario would put the low even further north than the fax charts surely?:blink2:

Will the warning go orange tomorrow I wonder?

From years of experience, the Met Office's two-flake snow symbol means precisely that - two flakes!👶

It's now down to  - wait for it - 4.3; still drizzling and the wind is up to 41mph. By this time tomorrow, it might even be cold enough for snow

12z UKMO-G and updated faxes agree on a slower clearance of the France low and occluded front/trough over UK compared to other models, this would bring more prolonged snowfall , be interesting to see if the UKMO is more on the money

The temperature has taken a tumble to 2c here, in the rain?  For the past few hours it just hovered at 4c, so not sure what is different now.

Has a cold front come through?

Well you will get the settling snow before me. You know Crowborough is known for its micro climate and does very well with snowfall.

It’s not the only reason I moved here.... but it might have been a factor!! 😂😂

Very interesting that and certainly could create a lot of snow!

What is your take for totals at this stage for say London and M4 area and then say the far southern counties like Brighton, East Sussex?
