looks like a streamer to me setting up ?

They seem to be hitting the Pennines and then turning south.

obviously don’t fancy going to Yorkshire in the dark

At this current time, it doesn't look like you'll be getting any yet.. but Chris might do, in Crosby, in about 20-30 minutes

Keeping an eye out for it. Still really low humidity 69%. Temp 2.7°C.

Those showers over northern ireland are having no problem crossing the land and heading our way.

Hmm, not sure about that. If I was living in Newry I would be asking where is it? That stream of showers hasn't got any closer to it now than two hours ago. They are dying out so far. It could change but the preciptation charts are not suggesting that these will be delivering the showers. I think it will be up to the Irish Sea to generate them.

interesting, the wind direction has changed to a WNW, and the temperature and dewpoint have risen slightly.. I wonder whether this will have an effect on any precipitation.. who knows?

Massive blobs moving into Western Scotland (Where I am) Ireland and N.I.

How do you ladies and gents have nothing currently? Always amazes me that North West England does not fare well in a setup that really you would think...should deliver the goods!

Anyways onwards and upwards - hope you all join in the fun over the next couple/few hours.

Have a good one folks! ☃️❄️

Were still waiting for your massive blobs!

Still got snow cover here but it’s looking sad.

Fingers & toes crossed  for a WNW or westerly wind in the early hours.

Could be a little surprise for a few, Or we could wake up grumpy gits.

I concur...direct cold westerly best direction for Manchester.

Or West North West.

Change of wind direction can be a game changer. Hopefully it will benefit us more.
