Game over for all of us if you are reporting sleet.

Mostly due to precip being light and drizzly...if anything of higher intensity it’d be snow....

There’s going to be some beasts of cells tonight. Expecting quite a few reports of lightning.

Rain

Give it time, as the temps cool off into this evening the showers coming behind should be the main event for many parts of our region. The top of the fells near you must be covered now though?

Sleet in Balderstone...!

Looking at all the reports coming in it seems as if conditions are more favourable as the wind and ppn swings round to the NW

Hi all, Brinscall - wet snow, has been going for about an hour and is starting to settle except for roads, a lot of surface water from earlier rain, if this lot freezes tonight, roads will be very tricky.

Belting down now, pity we had that rain to wash the dusting last night away first  as we are wasting snow now until it starts to settle properly.

Get a larger tin of freezer spray and give the flakes a helping hand to settle.

Tip for the day. I used loads last night to make the drive and car look that white.
