12z EURO4 - some significant snow settling even across lowland Manchester. Similar to the 12z GFS para.

Would be exciting if this verified.

The Irish Sea is waking up now according to the radar.

Wow yeah. What a difference an hour makes. Last looked at work then got stuck in gridlocked rochdale. Looking good

I must be colour blind; that's showing 40-60cms in certain places?

Euro4 tends to overblow precip unfortunately.

Been on the forum since 2003 apparently, so definitely over the age of 10.

Probably the best chance of decent snow in Ambleside for a while from the upcoming event anyway. As there is for much of our region. Tonight could start the suprises further south, but Cumbria looks in a good position tomorrow.

16?

And single lane at the top of smithybridge road. Chaos. Thankfully I got a motorbike and did the trip from Asda to starring way in 30. Must be 90mins in a car easy

Good EURO4 for you guys! You may not need Thursday anyway at this rate!

I'm glad because the models have definitely shifted south again tonight, ECM being the latest to set-up camp on that Liverpool-Hull line.

Yep,ECM and UKMO both shifted South, but not by much, although I expect a few more shifts South during the course of tomorrow.

Euro4 and GFS +P Look great for this region all day.

One of the better forecasters Alex Deakin, shower activity looking like it really gets going after that front passes through.

Good stuff!!!

South of the region is exactly in the center of that huge mass of snow on Thursday according to the 6.30pm BBC forecast.

As has been said what looks good for us is the shower activity through Lancashire after the front.

Initially looks rain and sleet for me.
