Roads completely covered here, cars are struggling to get around.

I'd love know where you were in Stoke that was near Festival Park Hanley and that was the heavy Bit. Lol

If you compare the showers in Ireland and Scotland to the few in England/wales they are quite pathetic at the moment

so much for all the forecasts earlier in the winter saying we would have a very cold and snowy second half of winter.  what lies.

You need to stop reading the Daily Express matey  !

This was Norton earlier...much more snow around here than downtown Burslem.

Actually travelling home from work, it was just up from Kidsgrove so closer to 220m asl. Main roads looked the way you’d expect to see side roads. Cleared quite abit now though, hoping for more on Thursday!

Don't seem to be getting past the Berwyns/Clwydians, unlike last week's that intensified inland. -1.7C now so if anything that reaches here isn't snow it isn't made of H20

Argh yes the famous Kidsgrove Bank. Lol.

If only we got it like we did in the late 70s early 80s and the massive drifts at the top opposite the Travelers rest.

Are you including Meto as well??? Similar forecasts of cold weather from there too... do not recall seeing any mention of settling or disruptive snow.  Or winter wonderland, or narnia etc...  It has been cold, some frosts too so not a million miles off and hardly 'lies'

Not getting salty but some expectations based on a forecast based on probability around long term and seasonal models are a bit extreme TBH.

As for Thursday, who knows.Still not resolved but chances be sleet/rain bit of snow and lots of complaining - 😡

Watching some showers edging towards me. They’ll die into nothing before getting here, as always.

Such a big difference across Stoke. Barely a dusting here.

What event last week?  it rained a bit and i think it was frosty on the odd occasion.

Whenever snow is forecast, it almost always misses the Derby/Nottingham/Liecester/Burton on trent area

Never seen such a more accurate post than this

No. I just think it’s hilarious that as soon as any snow showers get a sniff of this area they completely fall apart. Happens every time. That or they dive away to my east, south or west at the last moment.

Oh look. They’re disintegrating into nothing! What a shock!

At least I have Thursday to look forward to, with the models coming into agreement to stop the snow line just to my south. Can’t wait to miss out yet again.

No point being too stressed or put out by the weather, it does what it does 🤷‍♂️

What I don't get is why some ar£& was driving 30mph on the M69 because of sleet/rain earlier?? Now that is over reaction 😂

Omg don't get me started, was driving back from work in cov and it seemed like everyone was going sooooo slow just because of a little bit of light snow falling that wasn't even settling. I got road rage 😂😂
