Damp rather than wet today. Noticeable is the mildness. Wind isn't too bad yet but I'm guessing the next few hours will see it tank.

Exactly, should have no problems seeing a sleet flake up there

See the whole saga you had to get there in the first place will be worth it now you’re moving right at the start of winter. No need to wait around for said sleet flakes now.

For some reason I’m unable to like any comments in the Hunt for cold thread? Just says “there was a problem reacting to that content”?

any ideas @Mapantz no such problems in this thread?

There used to be a reactions limit but I doubt you’d have reached that and I’m sure @Paul said he’d removed it anyway so I can’t see that being the reason. Especially since you’re able to do it elsewhere.

Definitely not that, I’ve only been online for a while and not much was worth liking

EDIT: it’s working now ?‍♂️

feel free to hide my comments @Mapantz I fear I may have caused my first thread derailment

Have you tried the usual shiz, like logging out and clearing your browser cache? Try it if you haven't and if it still persists, drop @Paul a message.

Glad you have it fixed. lol

Oh well that’s sorted then

Back to what’s going on outside, nothing more than patchy drizzle for over an hour now since the heavy rain stopped although since then the winds increased a bit. Still 12.2°C.

The graph updates at midnight, but November is at 135.2mm. I need to get to 140.8mm within 2 days, for a new station record.

Was it a particular page in the thread that wasn't working?

If the suggested forecast is to be believed another round of rain due in tonight and tomorrow morning will surely meet your needs

Yes it’s been hovering between 12.0°C and 12.5°C all day and still 12.4°C now. If @Mapantz has had as much rain as here this afternoon he’d have beaten that record by now. 10.0mm inntotal now.

Some strong gusts brought down a few branches today.

A plant managed to dig up itself out of the pot with wind today somehow!? Also the garden chairs flew across the garden knocking over the lavender on the way. Hate this weather already

Further details:
A weather system will move northeastwards across the UK on Thursday bringing widespread strong winds. Inland gusts of 50 mph are likely with gusts of 60-65 mph in exposed locations around Wales and western England. There remains a small chance that this system will intensify as it moves northeastwards bringing even stronger winds to southwest England, Wales and on into northern England and southeast Scotland. If this occurs, gusts of 70-80 mph could be seen, mainly in exposed locations, bringing increased likelihood of more significant disruption. In either case, winds will strong by late morning across southern and western England and Wales, then by mid afternoon across northern England and southeast Scotland. Heavy rain is also likely to affect southern and western England as well as Wales, and following on from recent wet weather this may lead to some very localised surface water flooding.

The above is from the MetO weather warning on my local forecast. It's the sentence (I've highlighted in bold) that caught my attention this evening.
Something to keep an eye on as this develops further?
Will affect rush hour traffic and morning commutes across south/west England and south/west Wales on current predictions.
