Not moving to Scotland, but next year I have a “project” with a friend, and a strong storm in Scotland would be a good chance to test equipment/bravery .

No more rain since that deluge last night. Mostly cloudy now but with the sun breaking through, would be nice to see a bit of activity today. 12.9°C

33.6mm to 09.00 today, first day in any month with a total over 25mm since 19th November 2016 and the highest 24 hour total since 20th November 2012 when 38mm was recorded.  Coincidence that both dates are in November?

Sunshine and squally, torrential showers here this morning, currently between the lines.

15mm in less than half an hour from an insane downpour which included hail that is still laying on the grass!! The Net weather radar had light pink over my postcode several times in that half hour!

Add that to 24mm from last night.

I've been in the garden hoiking out leaves from the pond today. I keep getting battered by sharp downpours! The pond is flooded, but it's nice and clear. 14.4mm so far today. This evening is showing a lot of showers to come as well. Quite an interesting day!

25.4mm since midnight, only another 1.6mm to be the wettest day I’ve recorded in the last 2 and a bit years that I’ve lived here.

Wettest day I recorded was Christmas time 4 or 5 years ago I think. Was about 70mm might even have been more, can’t remember exactly but was for sure 70+mm. maybe someone in here can remember it, was a very rough 24 hours.

Wasn’t Christmas Day, was similar to last night but very prolonged. I went to Bournemouth on the day to watch Panto, hence why I think it was just before Christmas.  

Oh yes I did.....
