In fact if that was ever the case in the UK, they'd still be lightening in those places lol.

Is there supposed to be cells firing up in the channel?

Ok, they look intense.

Yeah they do I think most of this cluster of thunderstorms over France will stop pushing northwards once it gets near the coast and push west across the channel sort of hugging the coast in a few hours time.

They already look like they're going west.

The forward motion of the storms is northwestwards but the wind  flow across southern uk and the channel is a north east easterly which kind of eroded the top part of the storms and pushes them westwards

This is where I think a band of heavy rain perhaps thundery still will effect us from France in a few hours time.

I don't know. I don't think it'll get that far if I'm honest.

I agree, it's extremely slow moving and will most likely fizzle out over the channel. Hopefully it makes it all the way! Fingers crossed!

Fair enough but this is my prediction of the places likely to have it but ofcourse I could be wrong.

It should keep some of its intensity but it will be more of a rain maker than thunderstorms.

It already looks like it's decaying.

That’s the left side the part of rain on the right is what will probably push into Kent then other parts of southern England probably it’s northern limit being south midlands.
