More absolute rubbish weather...seems we go through this spell of easterlies/north easterlies (not necessarily cold) with associated dull dank miserable stuff every spring - sometime between late March and May. Please please for the love of God can we have an area of high pressure over the country! :wallbash:

Sorry, that isn’t allowed anymore. It’s low pressure all year now.

Looks like some proper proper rain tonight not that we need it mind... Yes agree with the above post it's something I have highlighted before that at some point during spring we get a dull damp easterly every year..

Tonights rain has a element of convection within it. But I think the risk is very low..

Cloudy but dry so far hear today. Only 24mm of rain here so far this month. Considering it's been quite dry here compared to others more west in the region, that's probably very conservative compared to most.

Sorry, but that's about as interesting as the weather:pardon: Back to grey and miserable again here. Plenty of bees buzzing about but no flowers open for them. Sad really, they're having a bad enough time as it is, without the weather making things worse :(

Is there any reason to be interested in the lightning risk tonight?

I don't think so, it's been downgraded from what little potential there was shown in the forecast last night, now it looks like the possible small event kent clipper shown last night will now only hit norfolk, and that's if they're lucky.

UPDATE 10:31 UTC SLGT reduced in size given decreasing risk of lightning tonight - primarily focussed on Norfolk, but perhaps even staying offshore to the NE of Norfolk

Not something worth staying up for in my opinion, unless lightningmaps suddenly kicks into life with what little risk there is, estofex doesn't even show a whiff of interest for the UK

i was going to mention goats but thankfully didn't mention goats as i thought it's not the best place for goats, still raining for goat's sake.
