The cotswolds are doing a grand job of stopping that heavier PPN getting past!

Definitely time for dollops. The Fairy Dust has had its day! :D

Oh, well seeing that Arctic powder, drifting, blizzard snow from the big beast has made my winter memories rich. Bring on the wet dollopy stuff now and lets get a thick covering going on. Then, let it go crunchy.

Calling it a night now but good to see it snowing heavily again, albeit still small flakes, and settling everywhere except the roads.

So cool driving in the snow with the high beam on, when safe to turn it on that is.

not sure I’ve had a 5am in me for a few years ?‍♂️ But I’m gripped by the radar! Fascinating

Oh that's OK. You can have a lie-in and get up at six.

Decided to take a break from the radars at 7pm, but what a change East of the IOW!

Expecting some heavier snow shortly! (wasn't expecting much here at all)

What's everyone's snow depths at the moment? Got around 1cm here.

Nothing literally, the ground has a white shade as such but nothing of note.

Stuck the ruler in and it's just under the 2cm line (on the patio)

Yes looks like the radar is coming to life just to the east of here. Still steady light snow at the moment. Seems to be flaring up about 2 hours earlier then what the HIRLAM predicted.

Hopefully it can continue to build across Kent and Sussex to give us more prolonged snowfall here :)

About the same amount as when you spill sugar over the kitchen worktop.

Hoping this more intense ppn coming our way gives us a couple of cm.

A couple of mm of very fine snow on cars, fence posts etc. Nothing on the road or pavements.
