Clear for a time overnight. Turning cloudy around midnight, a few light snow flurries. Widespread moderate /severe and penetrating black frost in the moderate ENE wind. This morning so far, variable cloud, mainly light snow showers, bright and sunny spells also, very cold. Further light snow showers through the day, bright spells.

Light snow flurries early yesterday evening and a short spell of snow earlier this morning, apart from that a dry and cold night with variable cloud cover. Cloudy with intermittent light snow at present.

A day of mostly light snow showers getting heavier towards of the end of the approx 0.5cm of cover. No sign of the 10cm to 20cm thrown about this morning.

A real winter type showery day, max of 2.8 C, much of the time lower than this as cloud amounts varied with sun then, mainly very light snow showers, each time recovering about 80% of the ground, a moderate one 1510-20 with some ice pellets in it as well, so ground 90% covered, still < 1 cm. T=0.6 C and Td up to -2 C been as low as -5 C. (not surprising when one looks at the actual 850 mb temperature on Net Wx Extra.
