All this evaporating snow might enhance the snow later on as it puts more moisture into the atmosphere, well I hope at-least.

I wasn't expecting anything here on sheppey till later in the day which I still hope we are going to get ? And yet we have had some really heavy showers and big flakes on and of all morning giving a dusting at times and yet just down the coast nothing hopefully later tonight we can all get in on the action.

Just had a flurrie better than nothing I suppose. I think it’s quite difficult for us, we weren’t even forecast a flake here today I have a fear we m ugh this miss out down here on the south east coast. When I see snow and only a little bit I get really dispondant because I just want to pull back the curtains and see the snow packed half way up the door. To be honest I can’t remember snow really laying during the day it’s always been at night so I’m hoping that is what will happen this evening. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

P.S any news on Thursday/Friday yet I’ve read so many offering posts. And can you ge streamers that go along the channel???

Heavy snow flurry just blew flew - temp back down to -0.5c but another big gap coming - not enought ATM

Tonight/tomorrow those in Kent under the amber warning are forecast 5-10cm on average. This feel right to you?

Steve I'm a little downwind in Orpington, that " flurry " looked to me like some hail ( flakes stick, Balls  bounce ) and there was some bouncing.. I  thought a sign of convection there :) which  I thought was good.

I'm close to mile oak at sussex square. I just watched the latest video from metoffice, they say that this will continue like this until Thursday and we might get heavy snow from that low approaching Thursday evening. I really hope to have some really heavy snow tonight or tomorrow tho

Got to admit I am slightly worried about the current MET outlook for Medway, they have been pushing the snow back all day and now looking like not till early hours of the morning. If this turns into a near miss I will be gutted!

I just had another what was a proper shower as such.. Very strong gusts with it blew all the lying snow back up IN to air again. Had a lot more oomph

Plus it don't take long to settle back where it melted either :-)
