Hmm. It seems not just us that are struggling to get snow also North-East and Yorkshire threads are struggling too.

To be honest we all share the same story just light flurries.

It’s a great sign then that we’re getting the same as Yorkshire and that the showers are still getting to us even though they are light.

BBC don't use the MetOffice warnings anymore. They use information from MeteoGroup.

They still use the Metoffice warnings. I was surprised when they said it.

Yes they do. Met office warnings overide the bbc meteo forecast and have to be shown.

Yep...saw a Darren Bett forecast earlier and when he mentioned the warnings he added the words "from the Met Office"

So the train companies for the south are ‘running down services form 6pm tonight due to the expected severe weather-and it’s not even arrived yet! Comes to something when train companies are saying in advance that they are not even going to try to run!!

Apps are * i know.....BUT met office has me down for 4 hours of heavy snow from 6am :yahoo:

Yep, they can only be a very rough guide. Always great to see the heavy snow symbols though. Just be prepared for them to vanish on the next update!
