Just wanted to say the EC snow depth charts show most of the region with snow cover by the weekend... ties in with the bbc/meto updates

Agree oldham does well from Easterlies...  hoping for some featuresto make its way inland

Very light snow here but sticking. Bodes well as metoffice don't forecast snow showers to arrive until this afternoon.

Just wanted to mention the EC 00z run-

Dews stay negative until NEXT monday night indicating an easterly flow is maintained for our region right through next weekend.

In other words no breakdown for a good 7 days from now..

It be a case of radar watching for the foreseeable until the models came up with a breakdown from the Atlantic.

Sorry to intrude mate but what's your thoughts on that low the end of the week? Is it going to be a blizzard do you think?

The MO predictive rain feature on the app takes tonights feature it taken way north of the amber warning area!

Not sure wrt the end of the week if im honest, a little to far out for much confidence, i would say at this stage you are well placed to get a decent event, the EC snow depth charts show wales getting hammered

Yes, already not going as forecast so time to watch the radars and sky!

Light snow flakes floating through the air despite clear skies...hope it bodes well for the next few days.

Euro 4 thinks there will be zero lying snow in our region by wed...

It also has zero lying snow in the south east!

What gives with this model??

 It’s stopped now but you could see where every flake went. Everything stuck. Never seen that before. Very rare to get snow during an air frost here. 

Temp -0.5, DP -5. Minimum before the cloud came and -2.5.
