Good, i’ve Got a bit of interacting to do myself but it’s only at the top of the garden so basic full winter kit should be sufficient.

This brought snow showers and dramatic skies on the 11th March 2013 and it was a short blast. The airmass this week is forecast to be even colder than this down to -15C or maybe -16C for this region. I wonder how much impact the sun will have on inland convection?

TBH it’s probably a fantastic day to be out walking and if I didn’t have a couple of jobs to finish off i’d be off like a shot.

need plenty of layers though.

strangely despite the low minima overnight there is no frost- suggestive that the colder siberian air is andlow dews is here already..

My dew point has been sub-zero for 78 hours and well below that as well. Not surprising to me as it has been dry for a week. Probably get the same conditions with a slack northerly or right under high pressure.

All the moisture is being sucked out. It was noticeable yesterday that a farmer's field near Rixton which was very muddy week with puddles last Saturday, was dry yesterday.

yes i see from meto app liverpool expected to be 4 today and 3 mon and tue, perhaps a little high for lying snow in late Feb.

Despite the uppers altitude will be a factor this coming week, no doubt about it.(and being further away from the coast will help).

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Snow showers are likely to be more frequent, widespread and heavier as we head through the week, with significant snow accumulations for some. Even colder too with significant wind chill.

Well if meto are right then it could be an amazing week..

I hope the easterly is like that one. Great skies they were, brilliant sunshine one moment then dark skies and whirling snow the next.

Fabulous Kevin ..

Truely amazing to see milky sunny skies to be replaced by a heavy snow shower-
