Worse I had was Harrison Stickle - (the bit thats always in shadow) - lost a crampon - a boulder stopped me - cuts and bruises.

Not sure what part but i climbed on the eskdale side. Was in school at time. Dont remember much but broke 2 ribs my knee and split my head open. Was very lucky.

Very heavy snow in Bollington and Macc. Thick across the main roads. Driven down to Wilmslow and the sun is shining and just a skittering

Bloody joke isn’t it

Beautiful pics. My dog loves the snow. Looks like an addict of some sort when he's finished.

Mine are the same white faces and snowballs on legs. I’ve put them in the boot room by the radiator to defrost and drip!!

It’s hard to believe when you have driven down in a blizzard it’s like someone has drawn a line through Macclesfield. One side deep snow the other sunshine!

This will skip the hills and give a couple more inches in places.

Could be problematic over the next half a dozen hours.

It looks good on the radar but I can't see the clouds yet from my place.

Haha just look at that shower on the radar near Lancaster disappearing literally in 5 mins! Sums it up as far as snow is concerned although it is snowing fairly lightly in fairness but you can see the anvils struggling to head westwards

Last chance saloon today though, the front to the south for the Weekend I can' imagine will get this far northwards, models painting a more realistic Outlook for that.

I can see an increase of cumulus clouds to the east so that's a good sigh.
