The best thing is that my balcony is east facing so even with the sun coming out the snow won't melt. haha

Let the sun out and it very quickly frazzles any snow on the road.

Arghhhh! Sun is out again! Accumulation has increased in the shade here since this morning whilst being completely destroyed elsewhere. Proof that the air is bitter anyway.

THe showers after these looks to be much more scattered from the east. Could be dry for the rest of the day.

Same here, drove home from Crewe, was 4c in the town centre, dropped to 3c just outside...as I drove my 15 mins home I could see an incoming shower...by the time I got home it was  - and I don't use it loosely- blizzard type conditions, SO heavy and -1c. Bonkers!!! My dash cam picked it up, going to copy it for future reference.

It covered most places with a few more cms.

God i love a good easterly..

Hopefully members in our region can see why i say east winds rule..even in late Feb.

Mission next year is get this in dec or jan !!

We are much better off  with a NorthEasterly IMO, at least for my location, no issue with shadow effect and it tends to be more unstable on the whole.

Often get a dumping of a few inches with NorthEasterly but lucky to get a CM out of an Easterly here and this is almost the perfect Easterly, usually they are more HP dominated and drier away from the SE.

Usually just have to wait and hope for frontal snow from the inevitable Atlantic push to see anything really worthwhile

Might get the odd flurry in next couple of hours.

Really hoping the snow moving up from the SW Thurs/Fri 'corrects' North.

A patchy 2cm of covering in places around here but most of it has either drifted or melted away with the early-spring sunshine as evident by the lack of snow on one side of the garden. High-level routes are reporting normal operations with drivers only advised to remain cautious due to ice.

Snow cover still mostly intact in the shade and on the northern side of the house, still a good 2 inches there.  What is evident though is a lack of water anywhere where the snow has melted. It’s like it has all sublimed.

Yes it has.. there was steam rising off the ground before when the sun came out. The mass melt may prevent extremely low temperatures tonight though. Cracking the flags now. Welsh hills are white
