We've been waiting few years now, surely another week won't hurt LOL

The difference for me this time, is we are not looking at an undercut or channel low, or northerly that could be scuppered at any point by a pesky shortwave. Deep cold arrives from the east on Sunday, that's as good as nailed now. So maybe the Tuesday front won't make it, but right now it looks like it will. If not then the chances next week are rife. I understand the caution by some, but our chances are very good, no question about it. It's not inconceivable that we get 3 snow events next week. Decent ones!!

You didnt think id let this drop did you Karlos.... :doh:

I tried gibberish, but I found it way too hard, so I learnt mandarin instead., although |I believe according to this thread gin does  help in the understanding..

I generally stick to talking b***ocks, I know it's a bit on the traditional side but it's served me well.

Booze...any booze...after Saturday not for a very long time, may even have sworn 'never again'.

Wind has dropped quite a bit this evening which is aiding rapid drop in temperature.

The sky has cleared here and that's allowing the temperature to fall away @ 1.7C/hr, wont be long before it nears that zero point for a second time this month..

That band is turning to sleet and snow now over NI....come on sweetie pie, keep at it, keep growing, come on you can do it......keep it real, keep cool.

(EDIT - just checked into NI thread - seems to be a lot slower moving than predicted/forecast and maybe maybe intensifying)

Temp got down to 1c about an hour ago, currently 1.8c. Carry on this way and it will be all rain by the time the front arrives.

With Catacol, Chio and alike really ramping the possibilities of cold up curtsey of a SSW, it’s like being a kid again on December 1st counting down the days until Christmas! I hope I get all the presents I asked for :D :cold: How many sleeps Mum

So we have Catacol on a ramp. Frosty going for snow everywhere and Optimus Prime saying rather typical winter fare, only the west & North of the Midlands to see white precipitation.

Stuff the M4, spring is coming the ice age has moved back oop North. Meanwhile daffies are exploding, crocuses going ballistic, and I'm talking to the Azalea in encouragement..

Another night to stay away from the MADhouse..

Points West made for depressing viewing tonight. Front well and truly decayed as it approaches the West Country. Best chance yet of settling snow ? this Winter and even that looks like going pair shaped.

I will not give up on seeing something tomorrow, but hopes are fading fast
