Just reading through the MAD thread. @karlos1983 are you sure you are not that Walsall poster stirring it all up. If you go against the tide in there you certainly get washed up before breakfast.

Got down 0.9c here about 6 now risen slightly to 1.3c

I still see little excitement just yet.... we have all seen these stella charts before end up in a damp squib. :nonono:

I think frontal snow is our best bet next week. If I’m honest I enjoy the chase!

I have to agree, from a 'my back yard' perspective. The outlook is colder, without a doubt. We've had plenty of episodes where the 850's have been significant in terms of cold, and nothing came of it - no significant frosts or wintry precip. Projected uppers do look to be even lower next week and that favours some pretty chilly nights. They'll probably some very low dew points in relation to low humidity. But, when you live down here, everything is marginal whatever direction that cold air is coming from. It'll be nice to get some lower temperatures for sure, but i'm not excited at the same time.

Yes but are we not in the mild sector?

AKA M4 south

Beeb brushed over it as a midlands north event earlier.

Well it wouldn’t be a winter if one of the media houses didn’t catastrophe another potential non event. These make me chuckle now; it must be British sarcasm . http://huffp.st/7O2gGQM

I fear the force in you is weakening....welcome to the dark side where and hope and despair walk hand in hand only that the despair hand is twice as large as the hope one!

GFS 18z for next week, now shows snow only event... plenty of interest next week. Scandi Heights once in place are almost as stubborn as my no alcohol efforts in January.

I managed 7 out of 10 days dry :D

Which I might add is more than the weather can manage to do this winter!!
