Just had a brief snow shower here in Southampton and it looks like round 2 is approaching.

Now what looks like a snow and hail shower here in Southampton. Brief accumulation of mostly hail before melting again.

Sleety shower in Exeter, some flakes blowing in the wind.

Hello, long time, no hear. May I pick your brains please? What's your take on the SSW? More likely to create cold here or early spring warmth? Or is it truly 50/50, luck and sods law?

It looks tastier over Salisbury, so that'll slide North of here.

And the Red Kite has just appeared.

Edit. Got sleet in the sunshine.

If the South West forum was to form a band. We could call it 'Sleet in the Sunshine'. Anyone play tambourine?

If there's room for a Bodrhan, I'm in.

Just got in from dog walking, blimey that wind's cold, my ears are frozen! Hail and snow showers today, they haven't lasted long but they're pretty all the same. Overall it's been a lovely winter day here, sunny and cold with wintery showers, lots of large, dark clouds incoming, maybe they'll produce something.

Surprisingly, with a temp of 5.9°C, I just had a sleety shower, with the odd larger  flake thrown in for good measure.

We were down on the beach then and best it would offer was the occasional drop of rain..

I guess at some point this week we'll all know which way the 'swingometer' is likely to swing, an early spring or an extended winter. Not long now folks......

As we don't have a groundhog, can we use a hedgehog for the same purpose to see if sees it shadow or not?

Seems like a fair few showers around today, unless I was asleep nothing happened down here..The dome is still clearly fixed in place, and it seems we need to get one of these guys out to the dome before next winter...

Well, just seen the Countryside weather forecast for the week. Didn't show much hope for any snow down south ?. Noticed that the graphics on the forecast were all new too.

Well today's weather was bonkers.  Mini storms, temperature inversions, precipitation of every imaginable type. Can't remember the mad thread predicting this (and it was more interesting than the month of sub zero temps they crave). Come to think of it my gut didn't predict it either
