Do you not like to even see it falling knocker?

Not even a little twinge of excitement? :friends:

Can't say I've really had a twinge for 15 years or so. And a Gm of -6C this morning so that's the Lilies done for. :shok:

Blow me it’s bitter. Clouding up nicely here in Torpoint as I’m staying with other half :) .

Loads of snow reports from Radio Cornwall

Radar shows light snow in the Bristol region so some of us must be seeing something, these flurries are associated from those that formed on a trough further NE last night. Today into this evening and early night could spring a few surprises as the main front edges SE. Khodds, I don't think temperature will be an issue as cold air is firmly in situ and dew points are low.

Meanwhile I've just realised the sun is catching my sensor, the temperature reading has jumped from -1.1c to above freezing in 5 minutes! That might suggest why I had an early maximum yesterday!

Actually to be strictly accurate I don't mind snow in small doses, it's cold I detest, a legacy from 62-63 and now I'm frail and in my dotage it makes me feel unwell, Time to give the violin a dusting me thinks.

I was watching that, it seemed to fade and now it’s back, looks light but it’s seems to be moving south

The Purbeck gap will open up and prevent anything falling for me. :nonono:

As things stand I’d say the West Country could do quite well. Certainly much more intact than the forecast had it.

I hope so, will be a real kick in the teeth if that front fizzles out just to the west of me.

Morning all, a bit nippy out there. MOT day for me, a nerve wracking event when you've got a 20 year old Landrover! Fortunately the lads in the garage are as bad as us lot when it comes to snow, I'm hoping they'll be excitedly watching the radar and slightly distracted. Seriously hoping they'll still be something to be watching at 4.30 and not crashing defeat and realisation we've missed out yet again otherwise they'll be in a grim mood and poking at the Landy's chassis with a screwdriver. Scary prospect!

We'd be very unlucky in the west to miss out on a front coming in from the west!

Given the light snow to the north of here, I'd say it's managed to pass the Welsh mountains.

All parameters are looking good here. Come on snow!

Facebook doing one of those reminder things today.....9 years ago today we woke to a foot of snow here. Still the best snow in all the years I've lived in these parts, would post the pic that came with the reminder but it's hubby streaking ;-)

Reminded hubby on FB....he kindly reminded me....at least I had the decency to add a modesty box to my snow madness.

I can confirm we have had a slight flurry of snow. May be 5 minutes.

I can also confirm I won't be doing a @jethro in it!
