Every morning I read the met office text forecast and every day since Friday the forecast for this week has downgraded.... first it was a period of substantial snow for all with just rain on coasts tuesday. Then it got lighter and then last 2 days it was downgraded to sleet and snow with rain on coasts. Today it is patchy light rain, sleet and snow. It also says rain on Thursday now. :aggressive:

There is something comforting that even the met office were taken in with suggestions of cold and snowy weather though!!! Bet the hard core non-rampers in here are feeling happy that they remained steadfast in their refusal to be drawn in. Hats of to @Mapantz and others who kept themselves on the ground :)

(Note to self must try harder)

Looks very intense..

Only thing intense I will see is the care i'll need after this cold spell is over.

Lol. It seems like every winter we get told it's going to be the worst for a while and we get a few cold days and that's it.

So much for the forecasts showing sleet showers here from 11am today, its a bright sunny blue sky, with very little cloud looking out the the NE direction.

Netweather is showing snow for 3pm today here.

Temp 4.1 and rising. Will be interesting to see what it reaches.

Could someone please show me where I can find just the UK upper air temp maps please. Most appreciated.

Just a small window for very light snow tomorrow now it seems.

2c out ... What happened to my ice days this week??!

You complain at lot don't you LOL

Don't be surprised to at least see falling snow tomorrow Sf-b, from what I've seen this morning on the charts, I think its a little less likely the front will completely decay! Granted we won't be building snowmen, but still :spiteful:

Only down to -0.2°C last night. Still it’s an air frost and that’s already equalled the number of frosts in January.  Sunny so far although a bit more cloud coming in now.

They can kill our cold spell, but they'll never take our Sense of humour!

We'll all see some snow falling tomorrow I'm sure. I suggest we just watch the radar and not check any models or forecasts as it's likely there will be changes no doubt. Who knows, the front may not decay and could give more than anticipated.

Has anyone bought a weather station off eBay or Amazon? And can they recommend one off either for under £40/£50? Just a basic outside one.

Cheers

Yes indeed. All that I really would like is to snow so much that I can't get to work.....also to take lots of photos so then in the future when it snows just a little I can wheel out the 5 ft drifts one to the boss saying I couldn't possibly come in to work!!!
